Edward Jones B.Vet.Med., MRCVS (1972 RVC London), Dir.

Ed is our longest-serving vet and has a wealth of experience in treating both large and small animals. He enjoys golf, fishing and also shooting, accompanied by Issy, his German short-haired pointer.

Wyn Lewis B.Vet.Med., MRCVS (1978 RVC London), Dir.

Wyn can be found out on the road on farm visits and has many years' experience in cattle, sheep and horses. He also boasts Priory Vets' finest singing voice.

Michaela Just, Prakt. Tierarzt (1993, Hanover) MRCVS 1997, Dir.

Michaela has exceptional knowledge and experience in the field of small animals and has a particular interest in homeopathic medicine. She is based in our Cardigan surgery and is a keen horse rider.

Fiona Drury BVMS, MRCVS (2003, Edinburgh)

Fiona is one of our small animal vets and spends time consulting and operating at both our Cardigan and Aberaeron surgeries.

Veronika Válková MVDr., MRCVS (2010, Brno, CZ)

Veronika has joined our team of vets from her native Czech Republic, following a year-long equine internship at the University of Ghent, Belgium. She has a special interest in equine work and can also be found visiting farms and treating pets in our Small Animal Surgery in Cardigan.

Leighanne Jones BSC (Hons), BVMed.Sci. (Hons), BVMBVS (2012, Nottingham)

Leighanne joined Priory Vets after graduating in 2012. She works mainly with large animals but also enjoys her day working with small animals each week. Outside of work, she enjoys walking her dog Flash, a border collie, her favourite walk being around Dinas Head.

Julia Cuttle B.V.Sc., MRCVS (2011, Liverpool)

Originally from Aberystwyth, Julia graduated from Liverpool University,and worked in a small animal clinic in Cheltenham before joining the practice in September 2012. She is still trying to socialise her rescue feral cat, a ginger and white Tom called Rusty.

George Jones MVDr., MRCVS (2012, Brno, CZ)

George, a former Ysgol y Preseli pupil, joined the practice after graduating from Brno University in the Czech Republic. George enjoys music and many sports, which include squash and rock climbing.

Joanna Bednarska, DVM, PhD, MRCVS (2006, Wroclaw, Poland)

From an early age Joanna knew she wanted to be a vet. Once qualified she chose to focus on companion animals with a special interest in internal medicine and pet behaviour. Joanna works mainly in our Cardigan branch, but also consults in Aberaeron every week. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the Welsh countryside with her Gordon Setter, called Caribou.

Maciej Bednarski, DVM, PhD, MRCVS (2006, Wroclaw, Poland)

Maciej is originally from Poland. He and his wife Joanna moved to Wales in 2012 and even the rainy summer that year did not discourage them from staying. Maciej joined Priory Vets in June 2014 and his main areas of interests are horses and farm animals. In his spare time, he enjoys cycling and discovering new places with Joanna and their dog, Caribou.

R. J. Cumming, B. Vet. Med., MRCVS

Richard grew up on a small farm in Hermon, Cynwyl Elfed where they breed Simmental cattle. Having seen the work of vets first hand on his home farm, it fuelled his ambition to become a vet himself. Richard is particularly interested in farm animal reproduction. His hobbies are breeding and showing cattle and playing sports such as football and tennis.

Joost has been a visitor to West Wales since his was 11 years old, and was delighted to have the opportunity to realise his ambition of living and working in the area and making it his home. His main focus is large animals but he also enjoys his small animal work. He is a keen sportsman and enjoys outdoor activities.

Silvia, our new Italian small animal vet, who has a special interest in oncology, worked for 7 years in Rome, before deciding to swop city life for country life and join the Priory Vet team. Together with her three dogs, Mila, Nami and Steel, Silvia is enjoying exploring the Welsh countryside.

Lisa Price BVSc MRCVS (1992, Liverpool)

Lisa began her veterinary career as a mixed animal vet but in recent years has hung up her wellies to focus on small animals and is mainly based at our Crymych surgery. Lisa lives locally on a farm with her family and menagerie of animals, which include, many horses, an alpacae, dogs, cats and an African pygmy hedgehog.

Lies has worked at different locations on the British Isles since her graduation. In the last 11 years she has been working in practice and teaching at vet schools. Lies has a special interest in cattle medicine, surgery and herd health. As well as helping out on her partner's dairy farm Lies enjoys horse riding and gardening.
